Sensory Table – Built for Play, Discovery, and a Bit of a Mess
Born out of the chaos and joy of playtime, this sensory table is designed to spark imagination while keeping things (somewhat) contained. It fits the popular IKEA Trofast trays and available in two versions — because every kid (and parent) plays a little differently.
Each table is handcrafted from solid wood — no flat-pack shortcuts here. The indoor version is made from smooth, sanded Pine (SPF 2x4s) and finished with a kid-safe, water-based polyurethane for durability and peace of mind. The outdoor version is built from pressure-treated lumber, ready to take on water play, sand, and whatever experiments your little ones dream up.
All edges are rounded, all corners softened, and every joint glued and screwed for sturdiness that stands up to real-life use (and real-life kids).
I don’t keep stock — every table is made to order, one at a time, right here in Milton, Ontario. Depending on the queue, it usually takes up to two weeks to complete. You’ll get email updates as it comes to life in the shop.
I personally deliver within about 80–100 km of Milton, because I like to know my tables arrive safe and sound (and maybe hear a few stories from fellow parents).
If you run into any issues while ordering — especially with postal codes — just send me an email and I’ll take care of it personally.
Dimensions: two tray configuration approx. 27W x 18D x 23H
